February 28: Understanding the Importance of Resilience

Natalia Ortiz is the Director of Development for the CLEO Institute, a nonprofit, non-partisan organization exclusively dedicated to climate change education, engagement, and advocacy. CLEO is the #1 nonprofit for climate science education in the region, with a world class Expert Advisory Council. The lecture will cover current scientific data regarding climate change from NASA, the 4th National Climate Assessment, NOAA, etc.
You will understand what climate change is, why it is happening, and how it is impacting our lives. You will also learn what solutions you can take as individuals and as a community to mitigate climate change.
We will also discuss current actions taken by Key Biscayne to help create a resilient future.
