New Updates
  •     Channel 77 is broadcasting “Matter of Balance” a senior exercise program daily at 8:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  •     Channel 77 is broadcasting PSA “Navigating Through COVID-19 As A Village” daily during the following times: 6:00 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 11:30 p.m.
  •     Chase branch on Key Biscayne looks forward to serving our residents for as long as possible given then environment we are in. Their modified hours until further notice will be Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00. p.m. They do have ATMs that are in the vestibules accessible 24/7 that will always have cash available to clients.
  •     Stronger Together. Let’s keep everyone safe. Winn Dixie is doing their best to protect those who are most vulnerable. That is why as of yesterday and for the foreseeable future, Winn Dixie stores and pharmacies will dedicate the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday – Friday to seniors and those most at risk of COVID-19.   •     Village Hall is not receiving in-person requests for the foreseeable future. To get in touch with Village Administration please call the mainline at (305) 365-5511 or send us an email at manager@keybiscayne.fl.gov.
  •     Residents are still able to pay their waste bill by mail or web. Please mail check, no cash, to Village Hall at 88 West McIntyre Street, Suite 210, Key Biscayne, FL 33149 or submit credit card payment online.
Closures

  •     Curfew will remain in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and will continue every night going forward until further notice.
  •     The Community Center will remain closed until further notice.
  •     Grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies and convenience stores remain open.
  •     All bars and restaurants in Miami-Dade County are closed for dining in; kitchens can remain open for take-out and delivery only.
  •     Visit www.KeyBiscayneChamber.org to see ‘Key Biscayne Restaurants Deliver,’ a delivery guide created by the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce for residents to enjoy favorite food & beverages at home from our local restaurants. Residents can call or order online for a variety of take-out, delivery or curbside pickup options.
Essential Services
  •     Village Hall employee’s kick-off their workday with a health survey. ‘Do you have shortness of breath?’ ‘Do you have a cough?’ ‘Have you recently traveled outside of the United States?’ These are some of the question’s employees will have to answer and submit, along with a temperature check, before heading to their isolated office space. If an employee has symptoms like, shortness of breath, cough, or temperature over 100.4 °F, they will be required to go home. Otherwise, Village Hall is still delivering efficient and responsive government during a global pandemic.
  •     Police, Fire and Public Works are fully operational.
  •     The Building Department is conducting business for existing permits, during regular business hours, by email and phone at onlinepermits@keybiscayne.fl.gov or (305) 365-8916. All services requiring in-person interaction with personnel is suspended until further notice. No drop offs or pick-ups, no notarization of documents and no new permit applications are being accepted at this time. Inspections will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Inspections may be performed by contracted personnel, virtually or postponed.
  •     Administrative personnel are working remotely or with staggered shifts and proper social distancing.
  •     Part-time employees are performing functions as needed to support the COVID-19 incident response.

Enhanced Services

  •     Today is the last day our local K-8 school will be serving breakfast and hot lunches to children 18 years-old and younger. This service will not be available next week during spring break. Please contact the school directly or Todd Hofferberth for more information.
  •     We are also providing additional support services to our seniors. Please reach out to Melissa White at KBCF and Todd Hofferberth at KBCC for more information if you need help or want to know how you can help.
  •     Information about COVID-19 is changing minute-by-minute. Please do you part to stay informed as we invite you to join the Village in its communication effort by sharing our updates in your channels of distribution and ensuring you are fully connected to the Village.

It is imperative to remember: we cannot gather in groups larger than 10 people, and we must maintain social distancing, 6-foot intervals. We, as one Village, need to flatten the curve of COVID-19, and we are requesting all Key Biscayners and staff do their part.
