Dating is Garbage
February 16, 2020, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
FACT: Tons of GARBAGE wash up on our beaches daily
ALSO FACT: Dating in Miami is GARBAGE
What if we combine our efforts to solve both these issues, or at least one of them.
Rihanna found love in a hopeless place so we want to try too! On February 16, we are joining our friends from Debris Free Oceans and Virginia Key Outdoor Center for a kayaking field trip that will be part beach clean up and part singles mixer.
We will be pairing people up randomly in tandem kayaks (so get your small talk ready) and will be led by Debris Free Ocean through the waterway of Virginia Key where we will be stopping along the coast line to help clean up our beautiful beaches!
Our Goals:
✅ First and foremost, make Miami a little bit cleaner, and have fun doing it with a rad group of people
✅ Second, sparks fly in your kayak > you meet your significant other > you invite us to your wedding (we are really good dancers)
✅ Didn’t make a love connection? Well hopefully you’ll make a friend > you continue to hang out and do more rad clean ups
✅ Didn’t really vibe with anyone? At least you started your day with an awesome workout and feel good about taking care of our environment
Looking for a date, or just a laugh while doing something good in the world? Grab a ticket and come join the fun. This event is open to people of all gender and sexual identities looking for all types of love, so you never know who you’ll meet here. ❤️
What to bring:
An open mind, and even more open heart
Closed-toe shoes
Change of clothes — you may get wet and want to drive home in dry clothes
Reusable water bottle
Sun block
Virginia Key Outdoor Center will provide:
Kayak, life jacket, and paddles
Travel/Parking: Please note there is a toll to cross the bridge that is $1.50 – $3.00, depending if you have a sun pass.
There is an $8 fee to enter the park which will be waived for you. There is ample parking available at the park.
