Summer Social – Rethinking Civic Engagement in a Global Age

As part of Christina Bracken’s civic engagement efforts, she is hosting a SUMMER SOCIAL on July 11th from 7-9pm at her house, located on 224 West Mashta Drive.
Besides enjoying a summer BBQ, drinks, meeting neighbors and friends, it’s an opportunity for new insights:
FIU Professor Robin Bachin will give her presentation on “Rethinking Civic Engagement in a Global Age.” Robin is the ASSISTANT PROVOST FOR CIVIC AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT at FIU.
On the “KBsalon terrace“ we’ll join members of the Grove-Key Dems Club, the Key Biscayne PerSisters, and anyone who believes in local engagement, the importance of good and positive government and the exchange of ideas.
(KBsalon hosts irregular events to celebrate people, ideas and the courage to act).
Miami-Dade Mayoral candidate Daniella Levine Cava, County Commissioner candidate Cindy Lerner, and the possibility some of our current representatives will join us.
Gene Sterns plans to share details about the All Voters Vote Petition seemingly on track to be on the 2020 ballot.
